The first teaser trailer for “Weapons” — the new film from “Barbarian” director Zach Cregger — reveals a neighborhood left traumatized after almost all the children go missing…
Zach Cregger is back with his second feature film after scoring big with the breakout hit “Barbarian” and this time his latest movie is teasing the disappearance of a group of neighborhood children, who vanished without a trace.
“Weapons” is due out on August 8 but the first teaser trailer arrived on Monday along with a brief synopsis for what to expect from this new horror film:
“When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.”
The film stars Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Cary Christopher, with Benedict Wong, and Amy Madigan.
Cregger also wrote the script for “Weapons” with Warner Bros. distributing the film after “Barbarian” was a breakout hit and he suddenly became one of the hottest names in Hollywood. Cregger ultimately decided to stay with Warner Bros. with “Weapons” definitely serving as one of the most anticipated films of the year.
