It was during the global pandemic that writer and director Pascal Plante got sucked into the world of true crime documentaries like so many did during mandatory lockdowns with only Netflix to keep us entertained.
From Tiger King to Ted Bundy, true crime exploded during that time and Plante started to realize how disturbing it was that people were effectively being transfixed and obsessed with serial killers and some of the worst people on this planet.
That gave Plante an idea for his latest film as he explored the idea around real obsession surrounding a horrific crime and the serial killer behind them.
The story centers around a young model named Kelly-Anne, who sleeps outside just for the chance to get a spot in the courtroom for a trial involving a man nicknamed “The Demon of Rosemont” as he faces accusations of murdering three young girls and doing it on camera for high paying customers who want to watch these atrocities carried out on the dark web.
As she gets drawn deeper and deeper into the case, Kelly-Anne’s own mask of sanity begins to slip and her own sociopathic tendencies start to emerge…
